The story is a beautiful drama of learning to listen, understand, and connect with others and oneself. The runtime is 2 hours, but the pacing is great and never once feels like its dragging. Both the visuals and quiet moments in the film are stunning and evoke silent awe. When their moments of weakness are shown, the emotions conveyed are powerful and tangible to viewers who have experienced similar situations. The protagonists, Shoya and Shoko, are both strong characters and engaging to watch when their internal struggles are presented.
